Exotic Japanese Pasta Dinner

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams Udon Noodles
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Mirin
  • 200 grams Shiitake Mushrooms
  • 4 stalks Spring Onions
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame Oil
  • 2 tablespoon Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 500 grams Norwegian King Crab
  • 10 leaves Shiso Leaves
  • 1 teaspoon Yuzu zest

Instructions:

  1. Start by boiling the udon noodles according to package instructions until al dente, then drain and set aside.
  2. In a large pan, heat the sesame and olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Add the finely chopped garlic to the pan and sauté until fragrant.
  4. Add the sliced shiitake mushrooms to the pan and sauté until they start to soften.
  5. Stir in the soy sauce and mirin, let the mixture simmer for a couple of minutes.
  6. Add the cooked Norwegian king Crab and cooked udon noodles to the pan, toss until all the ingredients are well combined.
  7. Stir in the chopped spring onions, shiso leaves, and yuzu zest. Mix well and remove from heat.
  8. Serve hot, garnish with extra shiso leaves and yuzu zest if desired.
