
Exotic Italian Shrimp & Grits for Breakfast

Ingredients:
- 12 pieces Large shrimp
- 2 pieces Garlic cloves
- 2 pieces Fresh chili peppers
- to taste Salt
- to taste Black pepper
- 2 tablespoons Extra virgin olive oil
- 1 cup White wine
- 1 piece Fresh tomato
- 1 cup Polenta (Italian grits)
- as needed grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- as needed Fresh basil leaves
Instructions:
- Start by rinsing the shrimp under cold water and set them aside to dry.
- Peel and chop the garlic. Cut the chili peppers into small rings.
- Warm the oil over medium heat in a large pan. Add the garlic and chili peppers.
- Add the shrimp to the pan and season with salt and pepper. Cook until the shrimp turn pink (about 3-5 minutes).
- Add the white wine and cook for another 2 minutes. Then add the chopped tomatoes.
- In the meantime, prepare the polenta. In a saucepan, bring 4 cups of salted water to a boil. Slowly stir in the polenta. Cook according to the package instructions.
- Once the polenta is ready, add the butter and grated parmesan. Stir until the butter has melted.
- Serve the shrimp over the polenta and garnish with fresh basil leaves.
