Exotic French Tuna Tartare

Ingredients:

  • 400 grams Fresh Tuna Steak
  • 2 tablespoons Capers
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon Mustard
  • 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 0.5 teaspoon Sea Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Fresh Ground Pepper
  • 1 whole French Baguette
  • 1 sprig Fresh Parsley (Optional)

Instructions:

  1. Begin with the freshest tuna steak you can find. Slice the tuna into very small dice, around 5mm or 1/4 inch in size. Move to a bowl.
  2. Rinse capers in fresh water to remove excess salt and chop finely. Add to bowl.
  3. Add mustard, olive oil, fresh lemon juice, sea salt, and freshly ground black pepper to bowl.
  4. Mix gently but thoroughly until the ingredients are well combined.
  5. Toast slices of the French baguette, if desired.
  6. Serve the tuna tartare on toasts for an enticing starter or exotic snack.
  7. Optional: garnish the tartare with fresh parsley. Enjoy!
