
Exotic French Egg En Cocotte

Ingredients:
- 4 items Eggs
- 4 tablespoons Heavy Cream
- 4 tablespoons Grated Gruyère Cheese
- To taste Unsalted Butter
- To taste Salt
- To taste Ground Pepper
- 2 tablespoons Truffles, finely chopped
- For garnish Fresh Herbs (parsley, thyme, rosemary)
- To serve French Baguette, sliced and toasted
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Butter two small ramekins. Pour two tablespoons heavy cream into each ramekin.
- Crack two eggs into each ramekin, taking care not to break the yolks.
- Sprinkle one tablespoon of grated Gruyère over each ramekin.
- Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Add a tablespoon of finely chopped truffles to each ramekin to give it that exotic touch.
- Place ramekins in a baking dish, and fill the dish with hot water till 3/4 the height of the ramekins.
- Bake in the oven for 12-15 minutes, or till whites are set but yolks are still runny.
- Garnish with fresh herbs and serve with warm, toasted slices of French baguette.
