Exotic Chinese Breakfast Fried Rice

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Jasmine Rice
  • 3 tablespoons Vegetable Oil
  • 3 Eggs
  • 2 stalks Green Onion
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 1 cup Mixed vegetables (peas, carrots, corn)
  • 200 grams Shrimp
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce
  • 1 tablespoons Sesame Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Chinese Five Spice Powder

Instructions:

  1. Cook the Jasmine rice according to package instructions and let it cool.
  2. While the rice is cooling, chop the green onions and mince the garlic.
  3. Heat a wok or large frying pan on medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil.
  4. Scramble the eggs in the wok and set them aside.
  5. In the same wok, add another tablespoon of vegetable oil, the chopped green onions, minced garlic, and mixed vegetables.
  6. Add shrimp and stir-fry until they turn pink.
  7. Stir in soy sauce and Chinese five spice powder, mix well.
  8. Add the cooled, cooked rice and the scrambled eggs back into the wok.
  9. Stir everything together, breaking up the eggs into smaller pieces, and letting each grain of rice get coated in the sauce.
  10. Drizzle with sesame oil, stir well, serve hot.
