Easy Vegetable Biryani

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Basmati Rice
  • 3 cups Mixed Vegetables
  • 1 medium Onion
  • 1 medium Tomato
  • 2 tbsp Biryani Masala Powder
  • 0.5 tsp Turmeric
  • to taste Salt
  • 0.5 cup Yogurt
  • 2 tbsp Oil

Instructions:

  1. Clean the rice and soak it for about 15 minutes.
  2. In the meanwhile, chop the vegetables and sauté them in oil until they are partly cooked.
  3. Next, add the biryani masala powder, turmeric, and salt to the vegetables, mixing well.
  4. Add the soaked and drained rice to the vegetable mixture. Cook for about 5 minutes on a medium flame.
  5. Whisk the yogurt and add it to the pan, stirring well to combine. Cover the pan and cook for 15 minutes, or until the rice and vegetables are cooked.
  6. Let it rest for five minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh herbs if desired.
