Desi Masala Pasta

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Pasta
  • 1 large Onion
  • 2 medium Tomato
  • 1 medium Green bell pepper
  • 4 cloves Garlic
  • 2 pieces Green chilli
  • 3 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.5 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 0.5 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 0.5 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1 cup Pasta sauce
  • 1 cup Grated cheese
  • As needed Water
  • For garnish Fresh coriander

Instructions:

  1. Cook pasta in a large pot of salted boiling water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. While the pasta is cooking, chop the onion, tomato, green bell pepper, garlic, and green chilli.
  3. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add the chopped garlic and onions, and sauté until onions are translucent.
  4. Add the chopped tomatoes and green chillies to the pan, and cook until tomatoes are soft.
  5. Add the bell peppers, and sauté for a couple minutes.
  6. Add salt, garam masala, turmeric powder, and red chilli powder. Mix well.
  7. Pour in the pasta sauce, and let it simmer for a while.
  8. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce, and mix well until pasta is evenly coated with the sauce.
  9. Lastly, sprinkle the grated cheese over the pasta. Cover the pan and let it melt.
  10. Garnish with fresh coriander just before serving. Enjoy your comforting Desi Masala Pasta hot!
