Comforting French Pasta Snack

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams Pasta
  • 100 grams Butter
  • 2 tablespoons Flour
  • 2 cups Whole milk
  • 1.5 cups Gruyere cheese, grated
  • 0.5 cups Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • for garnish Freshly chopped parsley

Instructions:

  1. 1. Cook pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. 2. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and cook, stirring constantly, for 2 minutes.
  3. 3. Slowly add the milk to the saucepan while continuously stirring. Allow the mixture to cook for a few minutes until it begins to thicken.
  4. 4. Reduce the heat to low and stir in the grated Gruyere and Parmesan cheese until melted and smooth.
  5. 5. Add the Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper to the sauce and stir until well combined.
  6. 6. Add the cooked pasta to the sauce and stir until all the pasta is coated with the cheese sauce.
  7. 7. Serve the pasta immediately, garnished with freshly chopped parsley.
