
Comforting American Fish and Chips

Ingredients:
- 4 pieces White Fish Fillets
- 1 cup All-purpose Flour
- 1 cup Beer
- 4 large Potatoes
- enough for deep frying Oil
- to taste Salt
- to taste Pepper
Instructions:
- In a shallow dish, combine the flour and the beer to make a thick batter. Season with salt and pepper.
- Heat the oil in a deep fryer to 365 degrees F.
- Peel the potatoes and cut them into fries. Dry with a paper towel.
- Fry the potatoes in the oil until golden brown, then remove with a slotted spoon and set aside.
- Dip the fish into the batter, letting the excess drip off.
- Fry the fish for 5-6 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
- Remove the fish and let it drain.
- Season the fish and chips with salt and serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
