Classic French Quiche Lorraine

Ingredients:

  • 1 unit pie crust
  • 4 unit large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup grated Gruyère cheese
  • 8 unit bacon strips
  • to taste salt
  • to taste ground black pepper
  • a pinch nutmeg

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375F (190C).
  2. Roll out the pie crust and fit it into a 9-inch pie dish.
  3. Fry the bacon until crisp, then crumble it and set aside.
  4. In a bowl, beat the eggs, cream, and milk together until smooth.
  5. Stir in the cheese, crumbled bacon, salt, pepper, and nutmeg.
  6. Pour the mixture into the pie crust.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes, or until the quiche is set and lightly browned on top.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serve warm. Enjoy!
