Classic French Fish Quiche

Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet Puff pastry
  • 2 medium Fish fillet
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 200 ml Cream
  • 2 medium Shallots
  • 2 large Garlic cloves
  • 1 cup Shredded cheese
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 0.5 tsp Black pepper
  • 1 tbsp Dill

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
  2. Layout the puff pastry in a pie dish and prick the bottom with a fork.
  3. Bake the pastry for about 10 minutes, until it starts to brown.
  4. In a pan, saute the finely chopped shallots and garlic until they become translucent.
  5. Add the fish fillet to the pan and cook until it turns white. Flake the fish into small pieces.
  6. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs, add cream, salt, pepper, and dill. Mix well.
  7. Spread the flaked fish evenly over the pre-baked pastry shell.
  8. Pour the egg and cream mixture over the fish.
  9. Top with shredded cheese.
  10. Bake the quiche in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, or until the filling is set and the top is golden brown.
  11. Let the quiche sit for a few minutes before serving.
