Classic American Scrambled Eggs

Ingredients:

  • 8 unit Eggs
  • 1/4 cup Milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Butter
  • 1 cup (shredded) Cheddar cheese

Instructions:

  1. First, crack the eggs into a bowl. Add the milk, salt, and pepper. Whisk until the mixture is smooth.
  2. Next, heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat. Add the butter and allow it to melt.
  3. Then, pour the egg mixture into the skillet. Let it sit, without stirring, until it starts to set around the edges.
  4. Now, using a spatula, gently push the eggs from the edges towards the center. Let sit again for about 10 seconds, then repeat pushing the eggs to the center.
  5. When the eggs are mostly cooked but still slightly runny, sprinkle the cheese over the top. Cover the skillet and reduce the heat to low.
  6. Finally, let it sit until the cheese is melted and the eggs are cooked to your liking. Serve hot.
