Classic American Pork and Hash Breakfast

Ingredients:

  • 8 pieces Pork sausages
  • 2 large Russet potatoes
  • 1 medium White onion
  • 1 medium Green bell pepper
  • 2 cloves Garlic cloves
  • 4 large Eggs
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • 2 tablespoons Butter

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 °F (approx. 175 °C). Place pork sausages on a baking sheet and cook for 20 minutes, or until fully cooked.
  2. While the sausages are in the oven, peel and dice the potatoes, onion, and bell pepper. Mince the garlic.
  3. Pour a tablespoon of butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the diced potatoes and cook until golden brown and crispy.
  4. Add the remaining butter, diced onion, bell pepper, and garlic to the skillet. Stir and cook until the vegetables soften.
  5. Remove the cooked sausages from the oven and cut them into small slices. Add them to the skillet and mix well with the vegetables.
  6. In a separate pan, cook 4 eggs to your preference (suggested: sunny side up or over-easy).
  7. Season the hash with salt and pepper to taste.
  8. Serve the hash hot, topped with the cooked eggs.
