
Classic American Macaroni and Cheese

Ingredients:
- 2 cups Elbow Macaroni
- 1/4 cup Butter
- 2 tablespoons All-purpose Flour
- 2 cups Milk
- 2 cups Sharp Cheddar Cheese
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Black Pepper
Instructions:
- Cook elbow macaroni according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour until the mixture becomes a uniform, thick paste.
- Slowly whisk milk into the butter and flour mixture. Continue to whisk until you create a smooth, thick sauce.
- Reduce heat to low, then stir in cheese until it's melted and the sauce is creamy.
- Season with salt and black pepper.
- Add your cooked macaroni into the cheese sauce. Stir until the pasta is fully coated in the sauce.
