
Classic American Mac 'n' Cheese

Ingredients:
- 8 ounces Pasta, Macaroni
- 2 tablespoons Butter
- 2 tablespoons All-purpose Flour
- 2 cups Milk
- 2 cups, shredded Cheese, Cheddar
- To taste Salt and Pepper
- 1/2 cup Breadcrumbs, optional
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and lightly butter a baking dish.
- Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add macaroni, and cook until not quite done, about 6 minutes. Drain.
- In a separate pot, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour until smooth. Gradually add milk, stirring constantly until it thickens. Remove from heat and stir in cheese until melted and smooth.
- Season with salt and pepper. Fold macaroni into the cheese mixture until coated. If desired, add some breadcrumbs on top.
- Pour everything into the prepared baking dish. Bake, uncovered, for 30 minutes or until the top is golden.
