Classic American Fluffy Pancakes

Ingredients:

  • 1.5 cups All-purpose flour
  • 3 tablespoons Granulated sugar
  • 3.5 teaspoons Baking powder
  • 1.25 cups Milk
  • 1 unit Egg
  • 3 tablespoons Unsalted butter, melted
  • to taste Maple syrup for serving
  • to taste Fresh berries for serving

Instructions:

  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, and baking powder.
  2. In another bowl, beat the egg and then add the milk and melted butter. Mix well.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix; it's okay if there are a few lumps.
  4. Heat a griddle or nonstick pan over medium heat and lightly grease it with butter.
  5. Pour 1/4 cup of the batter onto the griddle for each pancake. Cook until bubbles form on the surface, then flip and cook until golden brown.
  6. Serve the pancakes warm, topped with maple syrup and fresh berries.
