Classic American Chicken and Rice Casserole

Ingredients:
- 1.5 cups Long-grain rice
- 4 pieces Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 can (10.5 oz) Cream of mushroom soup
- 1.5 cups Milk
- 2 cups Frozen mixed vegetables
- 2 cups, shredded Cheddar cheese
- to taste Salt and pepper
- 1 teaspoon Garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Onion powder
Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the uncooked rice, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and frozen vegetables. Stir until well mixed.
- Place the chicken breasts on top of the rice mixture in a baking dish. Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- Evenly sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the top of everything.
- Cover the dish with foil and bake in the preheated oven for 40 minutes.
- Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
- Let the casserole cool for a few minutes before serving.
