Chinese Style Sweet and Sour Pork

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound Pork loin
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • 0.5 cup Cornstarch
  • 1 whole Egg
  • enough for deep frying Vegetable oil
  • 0.5 cup Ketchup
  • 0.25 cup White vinegar
  • 0.25 cup Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 cup Pineapple chunks
  • 1 whole Green bell pepper
  • 1 whole Red bell pepper
  • 1 whole Yellow Onion

Instructions:

  1. Cut pork loin into bite size pieces and season with salt and pepper
  2. Dip the pork pieces in beaten egg, followed by cornstarch
  3. Deep fry the pork pieces in hot oil until golden brown. Set aside
  4. In a separate pan, mix ketchup, vinegar, sugar and soy sauce and bring to boil
  5. Add the pineapple chunks, bell peppers and onion to the sauce, simmer until tender
  6. Add the fried pork to the sauce and mix until every piece is coated
  7. Serve your Chinese style sweet and sour pork with white rice or noodles for a comforting snack time
