Chinese Style Comfort Noodles

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams Egg noodles
  • 2 cloves Garlic
  • 2 inches Ginger
  • 2 stalks Spring onions
  • 2 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Sesame oil
  • 2 Chicken breast
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper

Instructions:

  1. Boil the egg noodles according to the instructions on the package, then drain and set aside.
  2. While the noodles are cooking, mince the garlic and ginger, and chop the spring onions.
  3. Cut the chicken breast into thin slices, then season with salt and pepper.
  4. In a large wok or frying pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat.
  5. Add the garlic and ginger to the pan and sauté until fragrant, about one minute.
  6. Add the chicken to the pan and cook until no longer pink, about five minutes.
  7. Add the cooked noodles, soy sauce, oyster sauce, and half of the spring onions to the pan. Stir well to combine.
  8. Cook for another two minutes, until everything is heated through.
  9. Drizzle the sesame oil over the top, then remove from heat.
  10. Garnish with the remaining spring onions before serving.
