Chinese Crispy Fish Snack

Ingredients:

  • 2 pieces White fish fillets
  • 2 tablespoons Corn starch
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
  • 2 cups Vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
  • 1 bunch Chives

Instructions:

  1. In a bowl, mix together the corn starch, salt, pepper, and Chinese five-spice.
  2. Pat the fish fillets dry and then dip them in the corn starch mixture, ensuring they are well coated.
  3. Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  4. Once the oil is hot, add the fish fillets and fry until crispy and golden, about 5-7 minutes each side.
  5. Drizzle some soy sauce on the fried fish.
  6. Garnish the fish with freshly chopped chives before serving.
