Ingredients:
- 2 pieces White fish fillets
- 2 tablespoons Corn starch
- 1/2 teaspoon Salt
- 1/2 teaspoon Pepper
- 1 tablespoon Soy sauce
- 2 cups Vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon Chinese five-spice powder
- 1 bunch Chives
Instructions:
- In a bowl, mix together the corn starch, salt, pepper, and Chinese five-spice.
- Pat the fish fillets dry and then dip them in the corn starch mixture, ensuring they are well coated.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
- Once the oil is hot, add the fish fillets and fry until crispy and golden, about 5-7 minutes each side.
- Drizzle some soy sauce on the fried fish.
- Garnish the fish with freshly chopped chives before serving.
