Chinese Braised Pork Belly Buns (Baozi)

Ingredients:
- 1 kg Pork Belly
- 16 pieces Baozi bun dough
- 3 tablespoons Soy Sauce
- 1 teaspoon Chinese five spice
- 2 tablespoons Sugar
- 5 cloves Garlic
- 2 inches Ginger
- 2 pieces Star Anise
- 1 tablespoon Rice Vinegar
- 1.5 cups Water
Instructions:
- Slice the pork belly into 2 inch thick pieces.
- In a wok, add the pork belly, soy sauce, Chinese five spice, sugar, minced garlic, sliced ginger, star anise, rice vinegar and water. Make sure all the pork belly pieces are submerged in the sauce.
- Cover the wok and let it simmer for 3 hours.
- In the meantime, prepare the Baozi buns according to the package instructions.
- Once the pork belly is tender and the sauce has reduced into a thick glaze, it's ready.
- Cut open a Baozi bun and place a piece of the braised pork belly inside. Serve hot for breakfast.
