
Chicken Teriyaki Rice Bowl

Ingredients:
- 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken thighs
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons sugar
- 2 tablespoons mirin
- 1 tablespoon sake
- 1 teaspoon ginger
- 1 clove garlic
- 2 cups cooked Japanese rice
- 2 stalks green onions
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds
Instructions:
- In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sugar, mirin, sake, ginger and minced garlic to make the teriyaki sauce.
- In a skillet, heat some oil over medium heat. Add the chicken thighs and cook until they are no longer pink.
- Pour the teriyaki sauce over the chicken, let it simmer until the sauce is thickened.
- Separately, steam the Japanese rice.
- Place the cooked chicken on top of the rice, drizzle with the remaining sauce from the skillet.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
