Chicken Croissant Casserole

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Cooked chicken breast, shredded
  • 6 pieces Croissants, chopped
  • 1 bar Butter
  • 2 tablespoons All-purpose flour
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup Cheese, shredded
  • 0.5 teaspoon Salt
  • 0.25 teaspoon Pepper

Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour until the mixture becomes thick and bubbly.
  3. Slowly whisk in milk until the mixture is smooth. Bring to a boil and stir for 2 more minutes.
  4. Remove from heat and stir in mustard, cheese, salt, and pepper until the cheese melts.
  5. In a large bowl, combine the chicken and chopped croissants. Pour the sauce over the top and toss to combine.
  6. Pour the mixture into a greased 9x13 inch baking dish.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and the casserole is bubbly.
  8. Serve the Chicken Croissant Casserole warm for a hearty French breakfast.
