Cheesy Macaroni and Cheese

Ingredients:

  • 2 cups Elbow Macaroni
  • 1/4 cup Butter
  • 2 tablespoons All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup Whole Milk
  • 1/2 cup Cream Cheese
  • 1 cup Sharp Cheddar Cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon Black Pepper

Instructions:

  1. Bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Add macaroni and cook for 8 to 10 minutes or until al dente; drain.
  2. In a large saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour to form a roux. Pour in the milk a little at a time, whisking constantly until a thick sauce forms. Add cream cheese and stir until completely melted and incorporated.
  3. Stir in cheddar cheese until the cheese has melted and the sauce is smooth. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Combine macaroni and cheese sauce in a large bowl, stirring until macaroni is coated. Serve hot.
