
Chana Masala

Ingredients:
- 2 Can of chickpeas
- 1 large Onion
- 4 Garlic cloves
- 2 inch piece Fresh ginger
- 1 Can of crushed tomatoes
- 1 tsp Cumin seeds
- 1 tsp Ground coriander
- 1 tsp Turmeric
- 0.5 tsp Chili powder
- 1 tsp Garam masala
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 handful Fresh coriander
- 2 tbsp Vegetable oil
Instructions:
- In a large pan, heat the vegetable oil over medium heat. Add the cumin seeds and cook for about a minute until they start to pop.
- Add the finely chopped onion to the pan and sauté until it starts to brown, then add minced garlic and grated ginger to the pan. Stir continuously for another minute.
- Add the ground coriander, turmeric, and chili powder to the pan and cook for about 30 seconds, stirring constantly.
- Pour in the crushed tomatoes, and add salt. Turn the heat down to low and let it simmer for about 10 minutes.
- Drain the chickpeas and add them to the pan. Simmer for another 10 minutes.
- Stir in the garam masala and fresh coriander. Serve hot.
