Butter Chicken

Ingredients:

  • 500 grams Boneless chicken
  • 100 grams Butter
  • 200 ml Heavy Cream
  • 200 grams Tomato puree
  • 1 large Onion
  • 2 pieces Garlic cloves
  • 1 inch piece Ginger
  • 2 teaspoons Red chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon Garam masala
  • 1 teaspoon Kasuri Methi
  • To taste Salt

Instructions:

  1. In a pan, melt the butter. Add overall chopped onions and cook until golden brown.
  2. Grate in the ginger and garlic and frying for another 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add the tomato puree, cook for 10 minutes until it thickens slightly.
  4. Add the chili powder, garam masala, and kasuri methi, stir well.
  5. Add the chicken. Make sure all the chicken pieces are coated with the sauce and cook for 20-25 minutes, until cooked thoroughly.
  6. Stir in the cream and cook for another couple of minutes.
  7. Season with salt, garnish with some more cream before serving hot with naan or rice.
