
Breakfast Shrimp and Grits

Ingredients:
- 1 pound fresh shrimp
- 1 cup grits
- 1 cup, shredded cheddar cheese
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 2 cloves garlic
- 4 cups chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- to taste salt
- to taste black pepper
Instructions:
- In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a boil.
- Slowly stir in the grits. Reduce heat to low, cover, and cook for 5 to 7 minutes until thick.
- Stir in the shredded cheddar until it is fully melted. Cover again and set aside.
- In a large skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and cook until fragrant.
- Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until it turns pink.
- Stir in the heavy cream, salt, and pepper. Simmer until the sauce thickens.
- Serve the shrimp on top of the grits. Enjoy your comforting breakfast!
