
Beef Stir Fry - Chinese Main Course

Ingredients:
- 1 lb beef sirloin steak
- 3 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 2 cloves garlic
- 1 inch ginger
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1 large carrot
- 2 small bell peppers
- 4 stalks spring onions
Instructions:
- Slice the beef into thin strips against the grain.
- In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, sugar and cornstarch. Add the beef and marinate for at least 10 minutes.
- Heat the vegetable oil in a wok or large frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Add the garlic and ginger and stir-fry for a few seconds until fragrant.
- Add the beef and stir-fry until no longer pink.
- Add the broccoli, carrot, bell peppers and spring onions. Stir-fry for another 5-7 minutes until the vegetables are tender.
- Serve the stir-fry over steamed rice or noodles.
