Beef Bourguignon Croissant Sandwich

Ingredients:

  • 2 pounds boneless beef roast
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 bottle red wine
  • 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
  • 4 large croissants
  • to taste dijon mustard
  • 4 slices swiss cheese

Instructions:

  1. Cut beef into cubes.
  2. In a large pot, sauté the beef, onion, and garlic until beef is browned on all sides.
  3. Stir in the flour until it is well absorbed.
  4. Slowly pour in the wine, then add the sliced mushrooms.
  5. Cover and let simmer for about 2 hours, or until the beef is tender.
  6. Spread each croissant with dijon mustard.
  7. When the beef bourguignon is ready, use a slotted spoon to layer the beef onto the croissants.
  8. Top each with a slice of swiss cheese and the other half of the croissant.
  9. Serve immediately for a unique and exotic French breakfast experience.
