
Beef Bourguignon Breakfast Croissant

Ingredients:
- 2 lb Chuck beef
- 1.5 cups Red wine
- 2 sprigs Fresh thyme
- 2 leaves Bay leaves
- 2 whole Carrots
- 2 cloves Garlic cloves
- 2 cups Pearl onions
- 100 g Smoked bacon
- 1 tbs Plain flour
- 4 whole Butter croissants
- to taste Salt and pepper
Instructions:
- 1. Preheat the oven to 160C/320F.
- 2. Cut the beef into large chunks and season with salt and pepper.
- 3. Fry the beef in a large oven-safe casserole dish with some olive oil until browned on all sides.
- 4. Remove the beef from the dish and set aside. Add the diced onions, chopped carrots, and crushed garlic to the dish and sauté until soft.
- 5. Add the flour to the dish and stir well, then add the red wine and mix until a thick sauce forms.
- 6. Add the beef back into the dish, add the thyme, bay leaves, and smoked bacon. Stir well, then cover and transfer to the oven for about 3 hours, until the beef is tender.
- 7. In the last 5 minutes, prepare the croissants by slicing them open and warming them in the oven.
- 8. Once the beef is done, spoon the beef bourguignon into the warm croissants and serve immediately.
