Beef Biryani

Ingredients:
- 2 cups Basmati rice
- 500 grams Beef chunks
- 2 pieces Onions
- 2 pieces Tomatoes
- 2 tablespoons Ginger-garlic paste
- 3 tablespoons Biryani masala
- 1/2 cup Yogurt
- 20 pieces Mint leaves
- to taste Salt
- 4 cups Water
Instructions:
- Rinse the basmati rice under cold water until the water runs clear. Soak the rice for 30 minutes.
- Meanwhile, heat oil in a pan and add the chopped onions. Saute until they turn golden brown.
- Add the beef chunks to the pan and fry them until they turn brown.
- Add the ginger-garlic paste and saute for a few minutes.
- Add the chopped tomatoes and let them cook until they become soft.
- Now add the Biryani masala, yogurt, mint leaves, and salt. Mix well and let it simmer for a few minutes until the beef is fully cooked and the spices are well integrated.
- Meanwhile, in a separate pot, bring water to a boil. Add the soaked rice to it and cook until the rice is 70% cooked.
- Layer the partially cooked rice over the beef mixture and cover the pot with a lid. Let it cook on low heat for about 20-30 minutes, until the rice is fully cooked and has absorbed the flavors of the beef and spices.
- Your beef biryani is ready to be served. Enjoy this comforting Indian dish with raita or your choice of side.
