Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb Beef flank steak
  • 2 cups Fresh broccoli florets
  • 4 tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons Oyster sauce
  • 2 tablespoons Sesame oil
  • 2 Garlic cloves
  • 1 inch, peeled and grated Fresh ginger
  • 2 tablespoons Vegetable oil

Instructions:

  1. Slice the beef into thin strips, against the grain.
  2. In a bowl, combine the soy sauce, cornstarch, and oyster sauce. Add the beef and stir to coat. Set aside.
  3. Heat the sesame oil in a wok or large frying pan over medium heat. Add the garlic and ginger, and stir-fry for about 30 seconds, until fragrant.
  4. Increase the heat to high, add the beef and stir-fry until it is no longer pink. Remove the beef and set aside.
  5. Add the vegetable oil to the wok. Add the broccoli and stir-fry for about 2 minutes, until it is bright green and still crisp.
  6. Return the beef to the wok and stir everything together. Cook for another minute, until everything is heated through.
  7. Serve hot over steamed rice.
