
American Rice Casserole Breakfast

Ingredients:
- 1 cup Long grain rice, uncooked
- 2.5 cups Whole milk
- 1/2 cup Cream cheese
- 1/4 cup Heavy cream
- 4 Eggs
- 4 strips Cooked bacon, chopped
- 2 Green onions, chopped
- 1 cup Cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 tsp Salt
- 1 tsp Pepper
Instructions:
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- First, cook the rice according to the package instructions and set it aside.
- Bring the milk to a simmer in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the cream cheese and heavy cream, stirring until both are completely melted and incorporated.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, cooked bacon, green onions, and half of the cheddar cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
- Combine the cooked rice with the milk mixture and egg mixture in a large bowl.
- Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.
- Place it the oven and bake for about 40 minutes, or until the casserole is golden brown on top and the cheese is bubbling.
- Remove from heat and let it cool for about 10 minutes before serving. This delicious American Rice Casserole Breakfast is best served hot!
