American Rice Casserole Breakfast

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup Long grain rice, uncooked
  • 2.5 cups Whole milk
  • 1/2 cup Cream cheese
  • 1/4 cup Heavy cream
  • 4 Eggs
  • 4 strips Cooked bacon, chopped
  • 2 Green onions, chopped
  • 1 cup Cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Pepper

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. First, cook the rice according to the package instructions and set it aside.
  3. Bring the milk to a simmer in a saucepan over medium heat. Add the cream cheese and heavy cream, stirring until both are completely melted and incorporated.
  4. In a medium bowl, whisk together the eggs, cooked bacon, green onions, and half of the cheddar cheese. Season with salt and pepper.
  5. Combine the cooked rice with the milk mixture and egg mixture in a large bowl.
  6. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese on top.
  7. Place it the oven and bake for about 40 minutes, or until the casserole is golden brown on top and the cheese is bubbling.
  8. Remove from heat and let it cool for about 10 minutes before serving. This delicious American Rice Casserole Breakfast is best served hot!
